LISTEN UP Y’ALL…….. Big Bear is rounding You up for a Wild West Weekend of Cowboy Music, Poetry, Mercantile, Workshops and the best BBQ grub around. All this excitement is happening smack dab in the middle of majestic pines and under the blue sky of beautiful Big Bear Lake, California. HOLD ON TO YER HAT’S
Are you ready for this years hoot n’ hollering, heart warming, knee slappin’ line up of our talented award winning performers? THURSDAY NIGHT
Fundraising “RANCH DINNER” with breathtaking views as far as the eye can see of our mountain ranges and valleys…this is one rodeo you won’t want to miss. There will be great down home food, libations, and raffles. Enjoy the music of Nancy Lee, the rich voice of Richard Elloyan, the stories from Gary Robertson. Now y’all get those lips loosened up cuz you’re going to be playing the harmonica with the award winning Harmonicowboy Gary Allegretto. Also meet our featured author, Alan Geoffrion. Don’t forget about the hilarious antics of the Pioneer Town Posse. A night of good ol” fashion fun.
FRIDAY AFTERNOON
Saddle up to the Cowboy Express Restaurant for our 1st ever VIP luncheon. Come have lunch and mosey up to some of the featured entertainers at this year’s event. $15.00 per person at the door or FREE with the Silver Pin.
FRIDAY NIGHT
Giddy up on over to the PAC (Performing Arts Center) for Poetry and Music you won’t forget. There will be a special tribute to Curly Musgrave. Performances by Gary Allegretto, Ross Knox, Sourdough Slim and the ever popular Hey Boyz. Wander around and check out the vendors before and during intermission treat yourself to some libations and complimentary cowboy snacks.
SATURDAY AFTERNOON
The day will be full of rough riders and gun slinging. The Wild West Pioneer Town Posse will be here performing. Proprietors of fine mercantile will be on site so you can put a few trinkets in your poke. There will be a harmonica workshop for all you dusty trail riders so you’ll be able to amaze your friends with your musical talent at your next cowboy campfire. The award winning author and screen writer, Alan Geoffrion will be answering questions about the making of the movie, Broken Trail starring Robert Duvall. A “Dirty Underwear” Fashion show for all to enjoy. Now cowboys loosen up on those purse strings and let your little filly indulge herself with all the fine merchandise. Our local silversmith will have a demonstration on his work. Entertainment guaranteed to keep you busy all day and night. Great food will be provided by outstanding restaurants. Libations will be flowing like a creek after the spring thaw. Tequila Lizzie will be providing you with her famous margaritas again this year. The outdoor Stagecoach Stage will muster up entertainment throughout the day.
SATURDAY MATINEE
Come inside the PAC (Performing Arts Center) and rest awhile and listen to some good ‘ol music and poetry. Featured entertainers for this performance are Nancy Lee, the man in the 10 gallon hat, Sourdough Slim, the Hey Boyz and Ross Knox.SATURDAY NIGHT
Before the Show, Dinner will be available for purchase so come early and enjoy the music of the Cross Town Cowboys and Michael Tcherkassky as you eat your dinner outside under the pines. Vendors will be there before and after the shows. The headliners will be Richard Elloyan, Gary Robertson and Belinda Gail. At intermission there will be libations and snacks available for purchase.
SUNDAY
Please remove those Stetsons…
The gathering will be hosting a non denominational Cowboy Church service. Music and Poetry and some inspiring words will leave your hearts a little lighter. Belinda Gail and Nancy Lee will be the featured singers. This is a special event not to be missed. Get up early because before church y’all are invited to have some morning grub (breakfast). Stay around for the day and enjoy some of the amazing local performers on the Stage Coach Stage, such as Duke Michaels, the Rambling Rangers, the Mountain Fiddlers and the Cross Town Cowboys. Of course the ever popular Pioneer Town Posse will be performing their hilarious antics throughout the day. Visit the vendors with their fine goods, artwork and food to offer you. A movie screening of Broken Trail starring Robert Duvall will be shown. Author and screen writer, Alan Geoffrion will be there to sign his books and posters. Boy, I’m sure going to try to get some time off from the Trail Boss after this wild weekend!
