We do all the work, you have all the fun. If you're going to ski or ride at Snow Summit, you may want to look at cabin rentals in Big Bear Lake. If you are more inclined to go to Bear Mountain, look at Big Bear City which is the community of Moonridge. Many of our vacation home rental are walking distance to the slopes, but it is a trade off. If you want a fabulous view, you're going to be in the hills. And if you want to be lakefront, you're going to have to drive. But then again... if you're fishing and not skiing, that would be a good thing. But either way, the ski areas are about 10 minutes from each other and there is a free shuttle to take you from one to the other. You can also visit the newly redesigned Big Bear Village which has shops, restaurants and bars. Big Bear is only 1.5 hours to the base of the mountain from Los Angeles. Come up for some fresh air.
