Big Bear Gets 6 Feet of Snow

Big Bear has all the weather. When it rains in Los Angeles, it generally snows in Big Bear. This past week Ullr the snow god has dumped and all ski areas are reporting full operation of the lifts. Big Bear is about 1.5 hours from Los Angeles in the San Bernardino mountains... at the top. It takes about an hour to climb the mountains. When coming to Big Bear we recommend chains for your 2 WD vehicles, or if you have it 4WD is the easier choice. Many roads are slippery as you are in the forest, so do drive extra slow and cautiously. This holiday weather if forecast to be sunny with daytimes in the 30s and lows in the teens. Bring warm clothes.
