Big Bear Hiking Trails

Hit the ground walking this spring as the snow begins to melt and the trails start to open up in Big Bear, CA. Many of the trails open as the snow begins to melt and the trail becomes accesible, and by June 1 most are open. The San Gorgonio mountains in the San Bernardino forest are some of the most spectacular views, and still just 2.5 hours from Los Angeles... including the drive up the hill. The trails are rated in easy, moderate, difficult scales, and free trail maps, showing the sites are available at the Discovery Center on the northside of Big Bear Lake, or the visitors welcome center. Fresh air... come get some.
