Big Bear for Presidents

You got to get out of Los Angeles and get to some fresh air in Big Bear for Presidents weekend. Big Bear is a blast for the longer 3 day weekends. You can pop up on Friday and get 3 nights and 2 days of skiing and riding at Snow Summit and Bear Mountain resorts. Our Big Bear lodging is labeled which resort the cabins are closest to, but it really doesn't matter as the two ski resorts are only 1 mile apart and connected by a free shuttle. Snow Summit is a bit closer to the Big Bear Village, and Bear Mountain is closer to shopping center and additional restaurants, as well as the kids zoo. It is also a bit quieter. As for skiing and riding, Snow Summit is a great mixed use mountain and Bear Mountain really concentrates more on snowboarding, terrain parks and freestyle riding. Holiday reservations go quickly so be sure to book as soon as you can to have the best selection.
