Sky Chair and Golf This Spring

Snow Summit and Bear Mountain are officially closed for the 2010-2011 ski and snowboard season. Winter may be over but the summer activities and events that bring Big Bear Mountain Resorts to life in the summer are just around the corner. You can look forward to the Snow Summit Scenic Sky Chair, golf, hiking, and mountain biking in spring.

The Bear Mountain Golf Course and Driving Range are expected to open May 14. Range tokens and golf season passes will be available at the Pro Shop. Tee times will be available for scheduling, as we get closer to our opening date.

The Snow Summit Scenic Sky Chair for those fabulous rides will open for weekends only starting on May 14 and then everyday on June 18

The ski slopes will convert to mountain biking as the snow begins to thaw this spring. Scheduled opening of the Bear Mountain has not been published, but stay tuned. If riding "choppers" is your thing, the Big Bear Choppers festival comes to Bear on June 11., 2011 with the 9th annual "Ride The Mountain bike Show, live bands and over 100 industry vendors showing their motorcycle street gear. there will also be a Bike Show, Poker run with cash prizes and more fun. So come on up.

Riding street bicycles or mountain bikes is a lot of fun in Big Bear and you don't have to bring them with you, as you can rent one at any number of bike shops in our town. So what are you waiting for, come up this weekend for some fresh air.
